Callie
Senior Stylist, Salon Owner & Manager
Callie began her career at Sublime in 2011 and proudly took over ownership of the salon in 2013. After recently returning to full-time work following a period of reduced hours to focus on her family, Callie is now also the Salon Manager and is currently welcoming new clients.
With a deep passion for the hair and beauty industry, Callie is dedicated to making every client feel confident, cared for and fabulous. Whether you’re after a complete transformation or a simple refresh, she loves creating hair that not only looks amazing but feels amazing too.
Callie has a strong history of community involvement and volunteer work, participating in numerous charity events including Stars of Newcastle from 2015 to 2020. For many years, she was also the go-to stylist for Cancer Council fundraisers across Newcastle, including Shave for a Cure, Got Your Back Sista, and more.
Her professional experience extends well beyond the salon. Callie has spent 15 years working backstage in hair and makeup for major productions such as Phantom of the Opera, Mary Poppins, Les Misérables, Wicked, Priscilla, and A Gentleman’s Guide to Love and Murder, among others. Callie also worked in the hair and beauty bar at the Podcast Awards.
Known as a true problem-solver, Callie takes pride in finding solutions for any hair concern. From personalised home-care routines to styling and maintenance advice, she is committed to helping clients achieve their best hair long-term.

Tahlia
Senior Stylist
Tahlia is a naturally gifted stylist who joined the Sublime team in 2020 and qualified in 2023. Since starting her career, she has worked tirelessly to refine her skills and grow her expertise within the hair industry.
Passionate about all things hair, Tahlia is highly driven, eager to learn, and dedicated to making every client feel confident and stunning. She is trained across all aspects of hairdressing, including cutting, colouring, foiling and styling and continues to build her knowledge through ongoing education and professional development.
In 2021, Tahlia was recognised for her talent and commitment, winning a C.O.N.D.A. Award for Excellence in Hair (Wicked).

Josh
Senior Stylist
Josh is a passionate senior stylist who brings a calm, friendly energy to the salon along with strong technical skills and a genuine love for the industry. He specialises in all aspects of hairdressing, from lived-in colour and blondes through to cutting, styling, and client transformations.
With years of industry experience, Josh focuses on creating beautiful, wearable hair while making every client feel comfortable and cared for in the chair. He is currently available Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 10am–2pm, and Fridays from 10am–3pm.

Grace
Beauty Therapist
Grace is a qualified Beauty Therapist with a passion for all things lashes, specialising in handmade, custom and wispy lash extensions. She also offers brows, manicures, and spray tans. Grace is the owner of The Allure by Grace in Charlestown, which she’s been running for the past two years.
She’s been personally trained by Lany in facial acupressure and hair spa techniques, so clients can continue enjoying these treatments while Lany is on maternity leave. You can find Grace at Sublime Hair Design on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, and at her Charlestown salon on Saturday and Sunday.

Yara
Apprentice Stylist
Yara is almost a second-year apprentice and is continuing to grow her confidence and skills within the salon each week. She is currently completing training and assessments in colouring, foiling/lightening services, and cutting modules, while also developing her styling and client care skills.
Yara has also been trained in selected beauty services under the supervision of Grace, along with shampooing, treatments, and blow-dries. She has a gentle and caring nature and is passionate about continuing to learn and grow within the hair and beauty industry.

Mia
Apprentice Stylist
Mia is our salon baby and first-year apprentice, bringing a bubbly personality and fresh energy to the team. At just 16 years old, she is already showing a strong passion for the hair and beauty industry and loves being hands-on in the salon environment.
Mia has been trained in shampooing, treatments, blow-dries, and selected beauty services supervised by Grace, while continuing to build her hairdressing skills through ongoing training. She is enthusiastic, eager to learn, and one of our exciting up-and-coming young talents.

Lany
Facial Acupressure & Hair Spa Specialist
Lany is on maternity leave and will be returning late 2026
Lany is currently on maternity leave and is hoping to return to the salon in late 2026.
Lany joined the Sublime team in February 2023 and quickly became known for her beautiful calming energy, incredible massage techniques, and relaxing client experiences. With over 11 years of industry experience, she brings a gentle and nurturing approach to every appointment.
Lany specialises in our signature Facial Acupressure treatments and Sublime Hair Spa experiences, focusing on relaxation, scalp health, stress relief, and overall well-being. Her healing hands and luxurious shampoo massages have become a client favourite.
She also has extensive experience in blow-dries, styling, beauty services, lash lift & tinting, brow services, facial waxing, makeup, and express beauty treatments.
Throughout her time at Sublime, Lany has completed advanced training in NAK Hair product knowledge, Bhave colour and keratin taming systems, beauty services, and client care.
Lany is passionate about helping clients feel relaxed, refreshed, and cared for, and we know many of her loyal clients are looking forward to welcoming her back to the salon in 2026.
